Okay. Well starting off, I hate pity stories. The basic stories where people are feeling bad for themselves over nothing, this has nothing to do with someone who has ACTUAL problems, no, this is to people just making situations huge for no reason, just for attention. That in itself is just annoying.
With that being said, I hope I am not coming off right now as one of those people but honestly I can say right now that by looking ahead:
I am scared of the future.
Now this fear of the future doesn’t have to deal with death, knowing that yes, everyone is eventually going to die so obviously it has to happen at some point. What I fear is what coming before that. The part where you graduate college and are expected to move out into the “real world.” As of right now, yes the real world does seem intimidating, with job opportunities hard to find and the cost of living in our country just rising to higher numbers.
Besides just job opportunities and debt coming out of college, for me it is strange to think of raising a family, when in reality it could be happening within 10 years from now…yeah I know I shouldn’t be thinking that far ahead of time but seriously doesn’t it feel like you were just going into high school? Yeah that was like 6 years ago, time fucking flies.
See, I honestly don’t know what I am getting at here with the whole “being fearful of the future” thing but it just seems that recently the obstacles that surround my future have been harder to get around. More priorities come along with being older, but what can I say?
With each step into my future I am growing into a strong person.
